Ones Temptation (The Lotus Eaters)

Ones temptation

My men and I washed up on the shore. The smell of the sweet lotus flowers had tickled our noses. The Flower itself was beautiful in many ways very hard to resist, but I managed. My men, on the other hand were not as mentally capable as I was in resisting the lotus flowers. The gentle virtue of the flower was irresistible. The men crept of the both and had claimed they ate just one, they were hooked and wanted to stay on the island until then end of time. Of course this was unreasonable we had to get home. I shouted to them from the boat “you shall not stay on this island for would you not like to see your family?” They shouted in reply “these flowers are delicious come join us!” I offered one last chance before I would pry them from the island. “Come right away we need to get home I made a promise that I would return home and you will not be the ones to mess it all up! Now listen to me and listen carefully if you do not get on this ship I will come and carry you away from this island with my own two hands or I will leave you there and you will never return home!” I decided no man can be left behind and through the use of my strength I lifted both of them returned to the ship tied them both to the seat and said “how dare you disobey son of Laertes your captain especially and not get on this ship I am very disappointed in both of you!” they cried not from the shouting bur from the craving of flowers. They soon got over it because we were never to return to that island again.
